Birthday Party Instructors

The NC Museum of Natural Sciences is seeking enthusiastic individuals who are excited to share their interest in the natural world and science with guests through our Birthday Party program! This position is responsible for hosting birthday parties, including presenting live animals and leading activities and crafts that correspond with a chosen theme. Instructors are also responsible for party set up, cleanup tasks and assisting the party family as needed.

Parties are offered year-round for children ages 4-10 years with multiple different themes. Visit the Birthday Party page for more information about the parties.

Senior Development Officer, Friends of the NC Museum of Natural Sciences (Repost)

The NC Museum of Natural Sciences seeks an experienced individual to join the Development Team. The Senior Development Officer will be responsible for securing the financial resources necessary for the Museum to fulfill its mission and achieve its goals. This position requires a combination of strategic thinking, relationship-building skills, a deep understanding of fundraising techniques and a record of successfully closing major gifts.

Reporting to the Director of Development for Friends of the NC Museum of Natural Sciences, this is a permanent full-time position with the nonprofit Friends of the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences for 40 hours/week.

Retail Operations Associates

Museum Stores, Box Office, and Special Exhibition

The Friends of the NC Museum of Natural Sciences is looking for part-time staff who can work 15–25 hours/week. Museum Operation hours are Tuesdays–Sundays 10:00am–5:00pm, some nights and Holidays.
